Whey protein may cause
abnormal heart rhythms,
changes in cholesterol levels, headache, increased diabetes risk, increased fracture or osteoporosis risk, kidney dysfunction, liver damage, stomach or intestine symptoms (acid reflux, bloating, constipation, cramps, gas, increased bowel movements, movement problems, nausea, reduced
appetite, swelling of limbs, and upset stomach), and thirst.
Sometimes we notice a reduced
appetite,
abnormal droppings or urine
in the litter box or cage, or a
change in attitude or activity level.
Other signs and symptoms include physiologic disturbances, such as
in changes in appetite and weight,
abnormal sleep patterns, psychomotor abnormalities, fatigue, and diminished ability to think, as well as feelings of worthlessness or guilt and suicidal preoccupation.
