3DS isn't exactly known for having outstanding
racing games in its library (Mario
Kart 7 aside, I did enjoy Ridge Racer and Need For Speed The Run but that's
about it) so this doesn't do anything to stand out.
Just think
about how low the odds of that ever happening in a Mario
Kart race are... So this is definitely a category where Sonic's
game wins.

about it, inside the
game is a
kart racer, a fishing
game, a whack - a-mole
game, a rail shooter, two pinball tables, a downhill snowboarding
race, even a creature raising simulator using the VMU with its own subset of minigames.
The Switch has a few
kart racing games and arcade
racing games already, but what
about racing simulators, the ones that try to provide a realistic
racing experience?
This Nintendo
racing game lacked the charm of Super Mario
Kart (which showed up
about a year later), but it definitely scratched the speed itch for a lot of racers.
