Never even thought
about frozen
naan!
She was diagnosed at age 4, and sometimes I get down
about the fact that she will never be able to eat
naan if she travels to India, never eat a croissant or a baguette in France, never eat real bagels or rye bread in New York, and so on.
A humble pita (or flatbread,
naan, even tortilla - I always have one of the above lurking in my freezer) can be topped with just
about anything - as long as it includes cheese - and turn into a delicious pizza!
Cool — I've been thinking
about making
naan.
Top each
naan with
about 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, a thin grating of Pecorino cheese, toasted pecans, grapes, and pickled onions.
Turn the oven on HI broil, and cook pizza for

about 20 minutes, less for tortillas.)

I recently went gluten - free, and was unhappy
about giving up
naan — we eat a lot of Indian food and
naan is so good for soaking up those curries.
Optionally, place
naan loaves into 400º and bake just until hot,
about 3 - 4 minutes.
Melt butter in microwave for
about 15 seconds and brush tops of
naan bread with butter.
Coat a rolling pin with flour and gently roll out the
naan ball, into a tear shape,
about 1/2 inch thick.
Spread the mixture onto the
naan and bake until they're hot and golden,
about 3 minutes.
I get a lot of questions
about vegan
naan though.
Cover the grill, and cook for
about 10 minutes at
about 375 - 400 F (medium / low heat), or until the cheese melts and the
naan bread is crispy.
After I made my
Naan on the stove in the pan... I put it in the oven for
about 10 minutes.

naan was little chewy and stretchy at first, but I made it
about an hour before dinner, so I crisped it up in the toaster oven just before serving and it was PERFECT!
It took me
about 3
naans to perfect the cooking, the best advise in your method was «it takes some time», as if I flipped it too quickly it wasn't cooked in the centre and was a sticky texture, but following your directions and being patient made for the yummiest
Naan and I loved the crisp edges.
You can bake the
naan after you cook them on a pan to make them more crisp but I'm not sure
about pouring the batter into a pan and then baking... if you try, let us know!
I added minced garlic to mine and although it took
about 20 min for one big
naan, was totally worth the wait.
I wish you could know how absolutely excited I am
about getting to eat

Just before serving, toast
naan on grill until warmed through,

Mom's Easy Peasy Instant
Naan (No yeast) Until a few years ago I could never think
about cooking and involving myself in learning elaborate recipes.
Cook the
Naan for
about 2 minutes; the top will be light golden and the
Naan might start to puff.
Then add 6 small spoonfuls of ricotta cheese on top
about 2 inches apart on each piece of
naan.
My husband calls it «Indian Chili» and I am pretty sure he only eats it because he feels guilty
about consuming
naan right out of the oven without accompaniment.
There's not a single unhealthy thing
about this dish... well, aside from the quantity of
naan I dipped in it while eating it.
