day following the terrorist massacre, Scott and I were meeting with our social worker, talking
about our next
adoption.
I recently had a chance to catch up with her via Skype and talk
about her relationship with her daughter and her adoptive parents,
about what she wants people to know
about open
adoption and birthmothers, and
about her campaign to give birthfathers their own
day of recognition.

Since this is the
day for lovers, we figured it was the perfect time to celebrate what people love

adoption.

adoption professionals have shared with us over the years

June 25th is Take Your Dog to Work
Day, designed to raise awareness
about dog
adoption.
On Monday afternoon, the shelter updated Facebook followers
about the success of the
day, and expressed its gratitude to the rookie running back who made the
adoption event possible:
On any given
day,
about 20 % of the dogs and cats are available for immediate
adoption.

adoption events you as a volunteer would be needed to talk with prospective adopters
about our dogs, set up the
adoptions event at the beginning of the
day and take down the event at the end of the
day, clean up any potty accidents, ensure each dog has a blanket and water, walk the dogs and much more.

HOLLY HILL — Twenty dogs, including 18 puppies
about 6 weeks old, were put up for
adoption Wednesday after being rescued from an illegal puppy - breeding business two
days earlier, according to Animal Control authorities.

day free insurance policy on their pet
adoptions (and should definitely take advantage of that), and your veterinarian can give you some insight
about the policies used by clients in their practice.
