Either I completely missed the exclusive Amazon
amiibo (Corrin Player 2 and Link Skyward Sword), or something is up with Amazon,
because I've been good enough keeping on top of
amiibo to never miss one that I wanted, no matter how rare, yet I didn't see a single thing
about those two, and this isn't the first time I've seen someone else say basically the same thing, which suggests that it wasn't just me.
In reality, you're only paying $ 30 for the game,
because you're also buying 2
amiibo & 3 cards, which make up
about half the price if they were sold separately.
Oh, but on your point
about Cloud, I do think there's something to your train of thought, but more on another level... the
Amiibo exists
because of Smash, but what reason did they have to put Cloud in Smash?

about amiibo for a second, I'm really happy they didn't make you use any of the really rare
amiibos,
because the only rare - ish one I have is Shulk (who I scanned btw.
And now, luckily, you don't have to worry
about ever losing that data,
because you can scan it right onto the
amiibo (along with a nickname) for it to hold.
