change things, and why doesn't all prayer
change things... a friend asked for a new house — got one; another friend asked to be cured from leukemia, God didn't answer her prayers — she died; another friend asked for wisdom on how to care for her elderly father, an alcoholic — still drinks, she still has no knowledge on what to do
about it — never thought to maybe look
up information
about elder care.
And, when she describes that
change, what she ends
up describing is what already more - or-less exists, namely: mainline christianity, embracing the reformed and the catholic, the scientific and the traditional, which has been doing (never perfectly, to be sure) the sort of deep thinking, social justice, and disciplined prayer that she talks
about continually while the evangelicals were breaking off to do their own
thing (the
thing she seems to want them to stop doing) throughout the twentieth century.

Fact is, ANYTHING could
change the way people are playing, from personal
things in life or
things like coaches giving bounties, and I highly doubt a 3rd tier QB made the defense play better, or special teams play better or made those 50 yard game winners go through the
up rights... you have no idea what you are talking
about and it is quite evident.
Tim i found it liberating to just do what the Lord wants you to do i work within his boundarys and yes i attend church and enjoy it.I love the people and i love hearing the word and worshipping the Lord even if others are still bound
up with traditions thats not my walk thats theres. My focus is to do what the Lord wants me to do.There have been times i have said no to the pastor he does nt understand why i choose not to lead the worship.i query him as well regarding the idea that its not just performing a function because there is a need our hearts have to be in the right place so that the Lord can use us but he did nt understand where i was coming from and thats okay because of that i just said no until my heart is right i am better not being involved in leading. But i am happy to be an encouragement to others in the worship team i havent wanted to be the leader i have done that in the past.So my focus has been just the singing and being part of different worship teams i think the Lord has other plans as the groups i am in seem to be
changing at the same time i am aware that i do nt to worry
about change as the Lord knows whats best.I used to be quite comfortable leading the music but that was before when i was operating in my own self confidence and pride. The Lord did such a huge
change in my life that i lost my self confidence and that is not a bad
thing at all as my spiritual growth has been incredible. The big
change was my identity moved from me and what i could do to knowing who i was in Christ and that he is my strength and confidence. Now i know that without him i can do nothing in fact i am dependent on his empowerment through his holy spirit all the time in everything. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music at another church i attend multiple churchs although i attend two regularly one has services in the morning and one has services in the evening so the two do nt really clash. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music its been two years since i did that and i was worried on how i would go.All i can say is that it went really well and because i stepped out in Faith the Lord really blessed the morning to the congregation. The difference is knowing that i serve the Lord with the gifts he has given me but my heart has to be right and when i do it in his way it builds
up the body and it brings glory to him.May the Lord continue to show you what he wants you to do even though others may not understand your reasons i just want you to know that you do nt have to pull away completely just work within the boundarys that the Lord gives you and do nt feel pressured by others expectations to do anything that feel uncomfortable.Be involved just as you feel lead by the holy spirit even if it is in a very minor way take small steps.regards brentnz
Jeremy i am surprised you never countered my argument
Up till now the above view has been my understanding however
things change when the holy spirit speaks. He amazes me because its always new never old and it reveals why we often misunderstand scripture in the case of the woman caught in adultery. We see how she was condemned to die and by the grace of God Jesus came to her rescue that seems familar to all of us then when they were alone he said to her Go and sin no more. This is the point we misunderstand prior to there meeting it was all
about her death when she encountered Jesus something incredible happened he turned a death situation into life situation so from our background as sinners we still in our thinking and understanding dwell in the darkness our minds are closed to the truth. In effect what Jesus was saying to her and us is chose life and do nt look back that is what he meant and that is the walk we need to live for him. That to me was a revelation it was always there but hidden.Does it
change that we need discipline in the church that we need rules and guidelines for our actions no we still need those
things.But does it
change how we view non believers and even ourselves definitely its not
about sin but its all
about choosing life and living. He also revealed some other interesting
things on salvation so i might mention those on the once saved always saved discussion.Jeremy just want to say i really appreciate your website because i have not really discussed issues like this and it really is making me press in to the Lord for answers to some of those really difficult questions.regards brentnz
Rahn... Do i really need to back
up what i think online... and you being the expert... why do nt you fully explain to me the state that the country is in... enlighten me... but you already know how far that will go... just as my attempt to
change others mind's fell short... so will any others opinion... i have my mind made
up for my own well founded reasons... all im saying is that spending all day protesting and postulating is of no benefit to anyone... going
about your life and making
things best for yourself is in the best interest of this country as a whole... I believe Adam Smith said it best... the best results come from one person doing whats best for himself and the team... not throwing a hissy fit
ok, ok, ok, i get it both sides think they are telling the truth there are no lyers here on this blogs only misinform people talking
about two separate subjects yet thinking they are talking
about the same
thing the existence of god... one side believe the other doesn't what's wrong with that... sooner or later they'll
changed their minds and one side will believe and the other won't so the arguement will forever be the same
about two separate aguement on the same blog... but its definitely entertaining to read the comebacks... keep
up the good work you all... its just as fun to read what the believer have to say as to what the nonebeliever have to say... after all it keeps all getting to know eachother better on what we believe right???
My last point and Im out... Throughout our great nations history... we always found a way to fight through national issues and come
up with solutions... Giving the problems we have now to people in the 50's and 60's... and they may actually come
up with a solution... if you earnestly care
about making a
change... start at the lowest levels of government... go do something... find out costs... expenses... how to get more health care to people... do
things like that... quit waiting on the government to provide all the answers... its not the way this country was founded... and not the way we get through problems... If you or ur family does nt have insurance... get a job that can provide you that... instead of hoping the government will do so... If you or ur family lacks access to education... move to an area that excels at it... education is invaluable... Do something
about your problem... and quit waiting for the next big lotto...
PDX — It doesn't take a Genius to realize from my statements that i have read
things other than the Bible you moron i have spent many hours reading and listening to scientists
about their theories on the big bang, i have listened to ideas from the most revered scientists including Hawking and others, and they all admit that there are holes in their theories, that nothing fully explains their big bang theory, the physics doesn't add
up let alone the concept, there are plenty of scientists hard at work trying to make the numbers fit and the theory hold weight but if you ask any of them they can not give you the answers and the reason being... there are none, the theory doesn't work, If by the observable laws of Physics, Matter in this Universe can not be created or destroyed, you can only
change its state, i.e. solid to liquid, to gas... to energy... There is no explanation for how an entire reality full of Matter can be created out of nothing... Scientists know this... idiots that are atheists and simply would rather NOT believe that their lives and actions they take within their lifespan are being witnessed by an Omnipotent God do not WANT to believe... but Your belief in God does not
change whether or not he exists you will be judged.

I have given
up on Arsene since 2008 I love him but I think he has lost the plot, the most annoying
thing about him is his thinking of our player is better than our opponent no matter who we are playing which is a rung mentality because it obvious sometime we are not still not
change his tactics for us to get something out of the game.
Sadly I believe people are afraid of

thing I care
about is whether Arsene is gone this summer or not!

If I saw a replay or heard the announcers going crazy, I turned my attention to the TV, but the UFC really needs to start thinking
about making some
changes that help make the presentation of the sport more appealing to casual / lapsed / new fans by say starting
things 1 hour earlier, use current Fox technology by airing a commercial while minimizing the arena camera in the top left corner so you can see what is going on, and coming
up with some sort of naming system for events that mark said events as high, medium, and low importance.
there is no doubting that Arsene has helped to provide us with some incredible footballing moments in the formative years of his managerial career at Arsenal, but that certainly doesn't and shouldn't mean that he has earned the right to decide when and how he should leave this club... there have been numerous managers at each of the biggest clubs in Europe throughout the last decade who have waged far more successful campaigns than ours yet somehow and someway each were given their walking papers because they failed to meet the standards laid out by the hierarchy of their respective clubs... of course that doesn't mean that clubs should simply follow the lead of others, especially if clubs of note have become too reactionary when it comes to issues of termination, for whatever reasons, but there should be some logical discourse when it comes to the setting of parameters for a
changing of the guard... in the case of Arsenal, this sort of discourse was largely stifled when the higher -
ups devised their sinister plan on the eve of our move to the Emirates... by giving Wenger a free pass due to supposed financial constraints he, unwittingly or not, set the bar too low... it reminds me of a landlord who says he will only rent to «professional people» to maintain a certain standard then does a complete
about face when the market is lean and vacancies are
up... for those who rented under the original mandate they of course feel cheated but there is little they can do, except move on, especially if the landlord clearly cares more
about profitability than keeping their word... unfortunately for the lifelong fans of a football club it's not so easy to switch allegiances and frankly why should they, in most cases we have been around far longer than them... so how does one deal with such an untenable situation... do you simply shut -
up and hope for the best, do you place the best interests of those with only self - serving agendas above the collective and pray that karma eventually catches
up with them, do you run away with your tail between your legs and only return when
things have ultimately
changed, do you keep trying to find silver linings to justify your very existence, do you lower your expectations by convincing yourself it could be worse or do you stand
up for what you believe in by holding people accountable for their actions, especially when every fiber of your being tells you that something is rotten in the state of Denmark
@NY Gunner I appreciate what your saying
about the «
things that we cant
change» but forums like this are for blowing ooff steam and getting
things off your chest
about the subjects that are arsenal related that eiether please or offend people, It clear that Wengers best days are well behind him now and in my own humble opinion it would have been less tragic for him to move
up or elsewhere on a high rather than let what he has acheived fall to dust.
that's a joke but series I think Marco Silva has something
about him with our players I think he get
things rite and if not him there's tuchel or Henry, bergkamp or vieria if not experienced enough then go get Carlo antellotti if not him try Wagner at Huddersfield our own Klopp Jesus there loads we should got pep he wanted it and he wanted Henry as no 2 then we messed
up that we should got klopp den we messed
up that like it's time for
change im 36 years age and since I was 16 I backed wenger it's time I'm tired tipy tapy even Laurent Blanca be good I'm getting to old but please mr arsenal board chips sausages gazides anyone make the order and bring back 89
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of
things to come... some fans have lamented wildly
about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good
about the way their future potential employer feels
about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong
up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule
about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and
change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries...
up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered
up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great
things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has
changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
When
things go wrong we will all be singing the same
things about change so lets keep the pressure and protests
up until we get the
change that Arsenal need for it to be successful again, because if we don't this season will be repeated over and over again..
Can some one tell me why 4 -1 mid week Ozil in middle Oxy wide then he
changes it a game that had Welbeck running at the goal keeper scores hatrick and then he plays Ozil on the right never touched the ball for 20 minutes and not one shot or attempt at goal The man Wenger has lost it surely he can't keep
changing things and just play the way he wants It wouldn't mater who he buys he will still play that person out off position it's like he thinks he knows best
about a player like Ozil who is a play maker not a tackler has not played that way ever is it just me or am I barking
up the wrong tree CB
