After growing this collection you know
more about chili peppers than most of the people.
But
talking about chili, my friend's husband just won the mild chili category in a contest at church last week - end.
I kept it going over the years, compiling more and more recipes, learning much more
about chili peppers, from gardening to preserving and more.
I used just one pound of ground beef, since we're not
all about chili being a bowl of meat (too many chili recipes are stuffed with meat and more meat).
But I do
care about chili, and football games usually come with chili at my house.
What's
great about chili is that you can customize it with whatever ingredients you have in your pantry and use up leftover odds and ends in the fridge.
I am a bit
picky about chili as my father used to experiment with making chili on the weekends, trying all different methods, ingredients, and regional preferences for chili.
That's one thing I
love about chili, it's super versatile and you can add in or substitute your favorite ingredients.
But I do
care about chili, and football games usually come with chili at my house.
I've been adding pumpkin to just about everything, but I haven't
thought about Chili until today.
