I recently did a huge
closet purge — the kind where you bring in outside resources (specifically my friend Maddy and our Editorial Director Stefani) to help make hard decisions
about what stays and what goes.
I just
purged about 50 % of my
closet (it was long overdue) and found that I had a lot of clothes that are not basic and versatile.
I set
about the task of
purging my
closet of any and all bags that I no longer use.
I don't know what it is
about spring (or almost spring) that makes me want to
purge my
closet and re-stock it with, well, anything I can find that's new, but I have a serious case of it right now...
I paired it with an old off the shoulder sweater — I've started the usual new year
purging of my
closet so I'm finding some old favorites that I forgot
about!
So I've recently been picking up a few new things here and there after my giant
closet purge last winter, which I still have yet to blog
about.
I'm taking note of the spring pieces I really want to add to my
closet while also
purging those I'm not as crazy
about anymore.
I've been talking
about shirt dresses for a while now and I realized this past weekend after a major
closet purge that I have way too many.
I'm pretty good
about editing piece by piece, but have never done this type of full - on
closet purge.
Also, remember when I posted earlier this week
about cleaning out my
closet, well thanks to the snow storm yesterday and being locked inside all day, I
purged about forty pieces and I am ready to go donate and sell a few things this weekend.
A girlfriend recently referred me to the program after I talked
about my ever - expanding
closet and the need to
purge my unworn items.
I'm
about to tackle a big clothing
purging project with my
closet and dresser and am bracing myself for it.
