Another reason why the Big - Pharma - dominated mainstream media might start attacking and warning people
about the «dangers» of
coconut oil is because Big Pharma itself is investing in the development of drugs that would produce similar results
as coconut oil.
The one modification I had to make was using
about twice the amount of
coconut oil (
about 4 tbs)
as the original recipe but everything worked out fine.
I did read the review that said these came out crumbly and that it could have happened because sunflower seeds aren't
as oil rich
as nuts so I added

I thought
about a
coconut butter -
oil blend but I think that's a last resort
as I wanted to continue with the challenge of making them
oil / margarine - free.
I substituted 2 c. sugar for the agave
as I have some concerns
about fructose, and used half
coconut oil and half grass fed butter for the fat.
I did make a few substitutions though — I used
coconut oil instead of the palm
oil (i added
about a teaspoon more
coconut oil once I had mixed everything together because the mixture was a bit too crumbly and dry for my liking) and I also added a teaspoon or so more of honey due to the dryness of the mixture... I didn't use any white chocolate chips, and used vegan dark chocolate that i chopped up because i didn't have «chips»
