Just because it was a food program that you worked on, it does not mean that you have to talk
about coffee or the lunch menu.

If I have a sensitive issue to talk to a colleague
about, I will take them for
lunch or a
coffee — a change of scenery never does any harm after all.
Tell them you'd like to grab a drink,
coffee,
or lunch to pick their brain
about whatever element they've found success in.
Because for years people would ask me to go for
lunch or coffee and here's what I would get once we were there for
about 15 minutes talking:

A typical full day of eating for me looks like: Breakfast: Spinach, Mushroom, Onion and Tomato Frittata... sometimes with bacon
or homemade sausage Iced
Coffee with coconut milk
Lunch (this is usually my largest meal of the day): 4 - 5 ounces of protein (turkey burger, pulled pork, chicken thighs, ground buffalo), roasted veggies and sometimes a sweet potato
or butternut squash Snack: apple with almond butter
or a handful of macadamia nuts Dinner: A large salad with all kinds of raw veggies (cucumber, celery, carrots, cauliflower), avocado
or olives, usually a lighter protein like grilled chicken breast, salmon
or shrimp This would represent a full menu... I would say I hit this
about 4 - 5 days a week, other days I may omit the snack
or keep the snack and omit a meal, if i do that though I would add a bit of protein with it.
Paper and crayons is now an essential item in my bag for helping to keep the kids amused if we're out and
about and stop for
lunch or a
coffee (for me, not the kids!)
It rarely hurts to invite a local (
or visiting) blogger out for
lunch,
coffee or a beer if the opportunity exists — if you're genuinely interested in the subjects they write
about, you'll have plenty to discuss.
I told her
about my
coffee with milk and Splenda in the morning, Caesar salad with chicken for
lunch, and anything from Chinese takeout (my favorite) to Thai food to pizza,
or, when I'm feeling really on top of things, a homemade salad
or quinoa bowl for dinner.
I've often talked
about the «best - of - intentions» diet which goes something like this: breakfast of dry toast
or bagel, cup of
coffee;
lunch of salad with fat - free dressing; afternoon snack (because you are starving) of candy bar; dinner of dry baked fish and broccoli.
I generally eat dinner around 8:00 PM and instead of waking up and having breakfast I just have a cup of
coffee and wait till
about 11:00 AM
or 12:00 PM and then have
lunch.
B / f 2 eggs dry fried, on wholemeal toast,
coffee slim milk no sugar, Break 50g greek yogurt with
about 8 almonds, frozen raspberries and cinnamon
Lunch Mixed leaves, roast peppers, grated carrot, half an avocado, poached salmon / chicken / tuna and some toasted cashews
or walnuts Dinner veggies and lean protein
But I am curious, did you REALLY wear this out and
about (running errands, getting
coffee, out to
lunch... you know what I mean)
or is this more of an editorial set of photos?
