I challenged myself to start taking
cold showers about a year and a half ago — beginning in the dead of Winter, where the ground water up here in New England is a bit nippy.
Someone asked Yogi Bhajan
about taking a hot
shower first, then ending with
cold water.
Always start with hot
shower and after
about 3 — 5 minutes when your body is warm enough take a 3 — 5 min
cold shower slowly reducing the temperature until it is really
cold.
In Chapter 4 of this book, you learned all
about the advantages of
cold thermogenesis, including the multitude of performance benefits derived from frequent exposure to
cold temperature such as
cold water immersion,
cold showers,
cold - hot contrast
