And in case you haven't heard some of my

about cortisol in a bad light a lot, we have to remember cortisol is important too, but when we're talking about short little intervals of time where you'll be sitting in a sauna or steam room for 15 to 20 minutes.

Even naturally thin people have to
worry about cortisol: Researchers at Yale University, for example, found slender women who had high cortisol also had more abdominal fat.
If you
know about cortisol levels, you can compare the two environments (home birth and hospital birth) and figure out in which place the cortisol level would be lower, for obvious reasons.
Whether we are talking
about cortisol, insulin, growth hormone, parathyroid hormone or any other hormone in the human body, they are released in pulses.
