effective to support women with twins or higher order multiples.
It has been reported in systematic reviews that educational
interventions based on different methods have proved more
effective than those focused solely on a simple method [25], the same conclusion discussed by Tahir et al. urging them to think
about establishing different support methods according to mothers» needs during the postpartum period [26].
There seems to be a general consensus that more rigorous research of different types of
interventions would add to our knowledge
about which programs for fathers of young children would be most
effective.
The CDC suggests that education
about breastfeeding is the most
effective single
intervention to increase breastfeeding initiation and short - term duration, especially when it is delivered as part of a multicomponent
intervention, tailored to personal needs of the mothers [40, 41].
While antenatal education and counselling is helpful, 8 68 % of mothers said that early problems with breast feeding was the main reason they stopped nursing before two months postpartum.7 Other barriers were lack of knowledge
about breast feeding and lack of support from health professionals.7 Women value being shown how to breast feed rather than being told how to.9 10 Evidence of
effective interventions to improve exclusive breast feeding for the recommended duration of six months is sparse.
Treatment for ADHD includes education of the individual and his or her family
about the nature of ADHD and its management; positive and proactive behavioral
interventions that provide structure, consistency, predictability, and teach appropriate skills; parent training to teach and support
effective parenting approaches for a child with ADHD; and modifications, support, and accommodations to increase success at school or work.
