I don't know much
about elderberry but can I use it for my 2 year old?
The cool thing
about elderberry syrup is that you don't actually have to wait until you're feeling sick: I've been using it as a preventative immunity friend by adding it to my usual breakfast bowls: chia pudding, oatmeals and smoothies.
I'm not sure why anyone would brag
about elderberries being in their drink since the first thing that comes to mind for any self respecting nerd when elderberries are mentioned is a certain French knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Nice thing
about bran muffins is that you can put whatever you want in it (I've put blueberries,
elderberries, saskatoon berries, chocolate chips, etc..)
I made 3 quarts, and let it sit for 3 days, and then added flavoring: 1 was 1/3 c wild frozen blueberries, and maybe 1 T of
elderberries (dried, from the herbs section of my natural food store), 1 was 1/3 c pummelo,
about 1/4 dried hibiscus, and
about 1/4 dried pink baby roses, and 1 was 1/3 c dried lavender.
Love the idea that one of the commenters had
about trying it with
elderberry too!
It's
about that time of year - freezer clean out is coming soon - and I realized that I had frozen more
elderberries than I really needed (all the tinctures and syrups I made in the fall are still going strong in March).

elderberries.

about taking it with
elderberry syrup but how would that taste with the mint?
I'm hoping to receive my dried
elderberries this week and make that

about!
