Mertz should never have been our captain in the first place... who has ever heard of a team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse
for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class players because many times they want to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you play
for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded
for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey has played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced
other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles
about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor
for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final
week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former player of any real consequence has any important role in the management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
Besides several teams who have questions surrounding one or possibly two players, there is no squad that has so many issues heading into the final
week of the transfer window... even Monaco, who have lost numerous players from their starting 11 have less controversy swirling in and around their club and they have champion's league play to contend with this season... just think of how ridiculous this situation is especially considering that we have had the same manager
for over 20 years... no team should be better organized than ours... if nothing else, that should be the one advantage this team holds over all
others, yet the exact opposite has occurred... this fact is even more disturbing considering the main argument against removing Wenger from his managerial position was that there was no suitable replacement and that people feared some sort of perceived drop - off if a new manager was brought into the mix... based on what we've witnessed since the time of his contract renewal a monkey with a magic eight ball could have done an adequate job... I hate to make jokes, in light of our current dilemma, but this team is so screwed up if I don't laugh
about it, the only plausible response is to either cry or do something incredibly destructive... just look around this squad and try to see what our delusional manager sees that allow him to make such positive statements
about our current team
Only last

I don't like how you frisco talked
about Wilshere. What I've come to realize is that we always seem not to criticize some players.Let me give you examples. They are: Monreal, Cazorla, Ozil etc. I've watched several matches where Cazorls has not been efficient and at Arsenal lack of efficiency from players and inconsistency is the norm of the day
for this club.Wilshere has not yet fulfilled his potential but the guy I admire him
for his fighting spirit and he always shows signs of the old Wilshere when he gets a run of games.I expect Wilshere to be better than Ozil and Cazorla when fulfills his potential. When you watch him when he was 16 and compare to
other players at the same age who are now stars he was far far better. The guy's potential is really really huge and of there's anyone Arsene must persist with then it's Jack Wilshere. He should play this
week in my opinion because he looked good when he came on and we can't keeo that momentum on the vench.Arsenal fans are too interested in one player being better than the
other to start.Okay well if you want me to say it like how it is then i'll say it.Ozil and Cazorla are much better than Jack Wilshere but in terms of potential Wilshere was more blessed than them.
i think your comment completely justifies the article above!why didn, t we go
for perez before?wenger might have been pursuing
other targets?valencia wanted 50 millions from us but with one
week left in the window and no one else coming
for him they had to lower their fee also mustafi and his agent met with valencia officials only few days ago to push
for a move, so you see they are many reasons that we don, t even know
about why these deals weren, t done before, i don, t pretend to know everything but try to keep an open mind!!
JUST IN: News making rounds is that David Ornstein is reporting that the Lemar deal is less likely. This news was reported to be bad news by my source last
week so it shouldn't scare any of you.The reports from Ornstein is not from the meeting held this
week but it's old news though true. The current meeting which was held was the meeting held to save the deal and I'm told everything is positive though what really transpired is yet to be known. The Lemar deal is still very much on and I must say it's Arsenal's fault
for making it take this long though people might not understand me clearly. The only deal one of my sources had wrong is the Neymar one but they've been spot on
about every
other deal involving
other clubs revealing them many days before time.
