achievements wise, you have to replay the
game many times, and u get to study each map so for me the length is perfect.

In Cuphead,
achievement isn't purely
about survival; it's more
about accepting loss and allowing it to shape your time with the
game in a positive way.
This is a common one and my answer is simple: if you don't care
about achievements because you just want to play the
game, then don't care
about them and just play the fucking
game... I mean, when was the last time a
game said to you: «you either drop what you're doing and juggle these severed limbs for ten seconds or I scratch the fucking disc.
One of things I really like
about the
game (and its predecessor Far Cry 3) is the neat, clean and organized progression interface that shows you so clearly what you've completed, what you have left and at what points you will unlock the next
achievements and rewards.
The way they interact with each other, the way they eat, watch TV, and chat
about random stuff at the same time is a huge technical
achievement that puts the rest of the
game above the rest.
Achievements may not sound all that important at first, but their impact on design, buying and selling
games have become far reaching and something that anyone interested in the
Game Industry needs to know
about.

If you're worried
about losing highscores or
achievements, I'd recommend setting up a
Game Center account (if you haven't already) and making sure that
Game Center is enabled in Tilt to Live's options menu.
It is a completion's nightmare as it will take
about 14 times playing through the
game to unlock a few of the
achievements.
Sounds promising but I still feel a bit dubious as I would rather the
game stays
about gameplay experience and playing with friends than
achievements and bragging.
While I'm not one to be a Nazi
about game companies rehashing last generation titles for an easy cash in (especially when they are at a discounted price, come with
achievements, and are for systems that aren't backwards compatible), but even I can sort of see kind of a moot point to re-releasing
games that in retrospect aren't really that old, were already popular, and did well in their original release.
There's just something
about games that's begun to bother me and for the easiest finger to point, let's take a look at Xbox
Achievements, called Gamerscores.
In addition to this, Spencer answered two questions
about whether indie
games will have
achievement on Xbox One, confirming that they will, and
about the possibility of implementing the possibility to read patch notes of
games and apps like on PS4.
There's something wonderfully straightforward
about its goal of «get the gems, get to the exit, do it as fast as possible and try not to die», but while this starts off pathetically simple in practice — effortlessly weaving around the guards with nothing on your mind but beating the par time — the
game gradually throws more and more elements into the mix until getting through a single level is an
achievement in itself.
There are also even more things to purchase via these in -
game credits and should you feel the need to mop up all the
achievements, you'll have to have purchased everything available in the Art Gallery and the hugely deep Codex which details everything and anything you could ever want to know
about Cactus, her friends and her enemies.
I applaud their
achievements they've had in the past, but this
game is nothing to cheer
about.
