On Nov. 15 — the release date
of its latest hit — Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot spoke to Canadian Business staff writer Jeff Beer
about how the industry has changed in the
past 25 years, where
games and movies will meet and Canada's potential as a video -
game powerhouse.
I am ashamed
of the way I judge those I deem judgmental, the way I stumble through my day without prayer, the way I issue praises to heaven in one breath and curse my brothers in the next, the way I talk a big
game about loving others and then brush
past the woman crying in the airport, the way cynicism seeps into my bones, the way I zone out in front
of my wireless glowing mirror in a pathetic effort to avoid confronting it all.
... [Americans] have become a nation that may defy every foe but that most dangerous
of foes, herself, destined to a majestic future if she will shun the excess and perversion
of the principles that made her great, prate less
about the enemies
of the
past and strive more against the enemies
of the future, resist the mob and the demagogue as she resisted Parliament and King, rally her powers from the race for gold and the delirium
of prosperity to make firm the foundations on which that prosperity rests, and turn some fair proportion
of her vast mental forces to other objects than material progress and the
game of party politics.
when i broke up with my girlfriend i got tipsy, when i was with her i had
about four beers at 4 beers, one at each
of 4 red sox
games and that makes 5 instances
of drinking in the

The Indians seem like they'll cruise
past 84 wins if the statistical projections are right, but the lineup is
about one injury away from looking like it'll score.009 runs per
game, and they're counting on players who haven't had a great track record
of health recently.
Two wins from the
past nine league
games is no kind
of reaction to this crucial period, nor the form to back up Wenger's claims, repeated in the aftermath
of defeat,
about «great spirit» and «a strong attitude» within the camp.
@RwRW, exactly my point; we put this
game behind us, like so many
of its kind in the
past and forget
about all 3 points.
I don't know
about you but for me the sensible approach I would take is to ensure that when injuries occur you have players
of an adequate calibre who could come in do a decent enough job... With the greatest
of respect to our players, when I look at players like Arteta, Rosicky, Flamini and Iwobi, I see two people
past their prime another a loose cannon and the latter still learning the
game.
Although I am only 17 years old and do not remember when our
game was really plentiful, the stories I have heard and read
about slaughter in our own
past have made me aware
of the tragedy
of animal extinction.
One expert
of the
game, who often has his say on Sky Sports
about Arsenal, is pundit Charlie Nicholas, who despite showing concern for the Gunners in the
past, is this time quite content that Wenger's signings could give us a real chance
of competing this season.
whatever the assessment
of last five years (It was clear to me back then that his managerial style would not deliver top trophies given the players he was promoting) when excuses
about what happened ten years previously and the budget constraint don't apply his performance this year should be enough to see his reign come to an end... Football clubs that rely on
past glories have no place in the modern
game... ask villa fans
And as someone who has declared this element
of his
game a full - on deal - breaker at various points in the
past few years, I'll just say that I'm tired
of bickering
about it.
Hancock has stated that the voters will start from scratch for each poll, ignoring their
past selections in order to avoid the heavy emphasis on preseason expectations in ranking teams after
games have actually been played, so nothing
about any edition
of the Playoff selection committee top 25 should have an effect on later results.
We should all know that Kroenke is the biggest problem as he has no ambition to win any trophies but the chances
of him selling to usmanov or anyone else are 0 at this point so the next change thats needed is to get rid
of wenger but since the kroenke only cares
about profit and wenger is perfect for idiot for that, then i guess our only two options are to keep supporting the team or stop attending
games or watching them to avoid the same agony as we have been for the
past 10 years or more.
M0rons» logic: Telling AKBs to stop living in the
past, all the while bringing the
past to slate Wenger, bunch
of hypocrites, very slowly and with some caution people are seeing improvement and potential, we are getting better whether you like it or not, if we win the next 3
games which are all winnable then will you keep going on
about our great Arsene's credibility?
Why the media got it for Arsenal, we bottle some
games we are expected to win, proving some pundits that hates the club right time after time,
games are not comfortably won, last season we had a better away record than home, We have an overall poor result against the big teams for the
past 5 years, we haven't won the league for 12 years now, we haven't made a proper challenge in Europe for 10 years and on top
of it we have an Owner who doesn't care
about football, just the money he makes, so many reasons.
All you guys are now blaming both coach and players alike.wait till Wednesday when arsenal will put four
past westham, you'll change your tone to praise singing like four things you guys learnt from the
game and whatever crap you can think
of.erratic fans behavior like which you can only find in arsenal should make one reconsider his support for arsenal.you know so much
about football but I haven't seen any
of you applying for coaching job at atsenal.
Over the
past six seasons, the public has been correct only
about 48 %
of the time against the spread in «lopsided - bet»

Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition
of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release
of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state
of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid
of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy
of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid
of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid
of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction
of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly
about the return
of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort
of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative
of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition
of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the
past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle
of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any
of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind
of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good
about the way their future potential employer feels
about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule
about his lack
of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result
of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest
of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands
of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none
of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club
of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid
of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field
of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version
of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history
of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet
of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival
of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone
of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players
of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that
of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part
of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the
game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet
of those who were well aware all along
of the potential pitfalls
of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
Arsenal has been the same for the
past decade and probably this season gonna be same all same old stories — to make my story short, right now we are way behind teams say Real Madrid they way they dominated Bercelona on those three
games i do nt know
about Arsenal if we can stand a chance and biggest problem facing Arsenal has been recruitment
of quality players — when we need atleast 5 new players we always brings in 1 or 2 and starting convincing ourselves we gonna win championship if we loose those two
of our new players is the same old Arsenal i just do nt know what to say any more
The trend remains the same, we are incapable
of putting more than 3 or 4 wins in a row in the PL and when we play a big team at the end
of such a mini winning streak we become arrogant and confident, forget the
past and start actually publicllay talking
about the PL title depite have been double digits away from first place with in barely having played 10 PL
games this season.
I not only want Man City to go undefeated but also better our record by winning more
games so that some
of our fans stop living in the
past and start worrying
about our future.
Tiger Woods returned to competitive golf on Thursday, and competitors (
past and present) from the wide world
of sports were absolutely giddy
about the latest comeback for the golfer who, more than anyone in the
game's history and perhaps in all
of professional athletics, mesmerizes fans with his every move on and off the course.
I must admit, that as a fan, I am EXTREMELY confident
about tomorrows
game, given our recent form and the woeful form
of Aston Villa this year, but, as we have all seen in the
past, Arsenal could beat Man City 3 - 0 one week and then get beaten by Crystal Palace the next, so we should NOT take anything for granted.
How is it a thing
of the
past when we were just out
of a season plagued with injuries and only four
games into what was suppose to be a rossy season we are in the same mess again?how
about picking a few more to add to the toll during the international break?depth in any squad is always meant to address such undesirables and shd have bn dealt with reasonably during the transfer window.
I'm an old MLS grognard, and rather
past the point that I'm worried
about how a group
of All - Stars shows against a world power in warm - up mode - unless Real Madrid wins this
game 45 --LRB--5) and leaves with the souls
of the subs bench, I'm unlikely to care.
We talked

Yeah, I've made a few
games (PC, but I'd rather do Wii U or 3DS; not commercial,
of course) in the
past, and I can think
of lots
of ways to use the gamepad, and I've seen cool ways that even developers that aren't enthusiastic
about the gamepad use it, such as in LEGO Marvel Superheroes, where you can pull up the full map on the gamepad (I'm still laughing when I discovered that many
of the loading screens in that
game can be skipped)
