The last we all heard from Toshiba
about the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Thrive (AT100), was that it wouldn't be showing up until this fall.
I just said a lot of good things
about Ice Cream Sandwich, so by now you're probably wondering why I opened this review by saying I still think iOS is better.
Given that so many of you unnecessarily worried
about the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade after we discovered the end - of - life status for the Amaze 4G, this should be comforting news.
While we don't know much
about Ice Cream Sandwich we do know that its main goal, or at least one of them.
The blog post also mentioned that Sony would be announcing more
about Ice Cream Sandwich for the Xperia P and its other 2012 Android phones in the next couple of weeks, making the Xperia Android 4.0 timeline a little more concrete.
We know a little bit
about Ice Cream Sandwich, which seems focused on fixing a lot of the nagging issues in the Android world, like unifying its phone and tablet software, reducing fragmentation, and adding support for some neat integrations with other hardware in the real world.
