As a non-fiction author, you might think of your
ideal reader as an
ideal customer (if your book is geared toward promoting you and your services) or an
ideal student (if your goal is to teach a concept or influence how people think
about a topic).
If it's the latter, then the average person interested in knowing more
about it, without knowing anything at all, who may be familiar with star signs, tarot and such, would be your
ideal reader.
Finding your
ideal reader is essential for success so, not surprisingly, a considerable amount of digital ink has been spilled writing
about it.
