me about kale chips, of all things.
A couple years ago everyone was shouting
about kale chips.
I totally forgot
about kale chips!
Many people have been blogging
about kale chips, so we figured why not try making chips from chard too?
It seems like every food or health blog I read these days is talking
about kale chips.
After reading yet another blog post
about kale chips I decided to see for myself what all the fuss was about.
Kale is tasty when sautéed with some garlic, but I've been hearing so much
about kale chips, that I had to try for myself.
Not exact matches
I stumbled across
kale chips about a year ago and was buying them in Trader Joes and Whole Foods for who knows how much, but it was draining my wallet!
What I love
about using the dehydrator to make
kale chips is that there are no burnt pieces and all the
kale chips come out evenly baked.

kale chips, coyo and of course what could be simpler than fruit!
The key to great tasting
kale chips is to roast
kale leaves at 300 F degrees for
about 15 minutes, flip them over then add them to the oven for another 10 minutes.
I want to replace the
chips in my diet,
kale chips would certainly be tasty but I wonder
about their longevity, would I be able to make some and eat them over the next few days?
Kale has been on sale at our local health food store, so I've been making a batch of easy, cheesy
kale chips just
about everyday!

chips you buy at the store that just happen to have spinach and
kale packed inside.
We're not talking
about «regular»
kale chips that you make in the oven at home like these or these.
But I used it to coat
kale chips that are now just
about done dehydrating.
Ingredients: 1 cup uncooked red quinoa, rinsed and drained 1/2 tbsp coconut oil (or other oil) 3 garlic cloves, minced 2 cup diced sweet onion (
about 1/2 large) 1 jalapeno, seeded if preferred and diced 1 large sweet potato (350 g), peeled and chopped to 1/2 -1 inch dice (2.5 - 3 cups) * 1.5 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp ground coriander 6 cups vegetable broth 1.5 cups cooked black beans (one (15 - oz) can rinsed and drained) fine grain sea salt and black pepper, to taste (I used 1/2 tsp salt or a bit more) 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or red pepper flakes) 2 handfuls Spinach or
kale leaves, optional toppings: avocado, corn
chips, cilantro, cashew cream, lime juice, tomatoes or salsa, green onion
When kids see mom and dad snacking on apples,
kale chips, nuts and low - sugar granola bars, they're more likely to be open
about trying them.
