In my last update, all the way back in the distant and misty times of being 25 weeks pregnant, I wrote

Both were great, hard but wonderful, and I found that reading a lot
about labour and birth (both physiological and stories) helped me to realise that I could influence my experience hugely just by the attitude that I cultivated as pregnancy progressed and the mental «tools» I used during labour.

labour, the Facebook kind of thing but you know keep it quiet, keep it down, don't fritter the energy away by drawing other people to it or drawing the expectation that something's happening rather than just letting something evolve... I think guarding the space by keeping the space as calm
and quiet
and private as possible is key
and giving people tools to do that during the prenatal time to deal with over eager family members or friends.
