I am obsessive
about making my bed every morning but I must say that mine looks just like yours this morning!

We joke
about it, but we wanted to work on something that would
make us jump out of
bed in the
morning for the next 10 years or more.
But, in my experience, sometimes the best way to keep communication healthy and open is to go to
bed angry and then talk
about it the next
morning when you've had enough sleep to know that leaving the milk out in the car probably wasn't a veiled act of aggression meant to symbolize every problem in the relationship, but rather just the sort of mistake anyone would
make while distracted by a fascinating story on NPR.
The Happiness Project gave me permission to be more deliberate
about the little things that positively affect my outlook on life — getting enough sleep,
making the
bed in the
morning (even if nothing else gets done around the house that day!)
Those days when you can step outside and truly smell Autumn... those are the moments that really
make me remember what dragging my butt out of
bed in the
morning is all
about.
Mornings are tough, but there's something
about the promise of chocolate that
makes getting out of
bed just a bit easier.
Having this blog and inspiring healthy living couldn't
make me more excited
about climbing out of
bed in the
morning.
So I
made myself think
about the good parts of the day: cuddling with Max in
bed this
morning as he kept saying «NO OOOOL!
I always pump right before i go to
bed (to
make sure I'm good and empty) and then I also pump
about an hour after
morning feedings and seem to get a lot at that time.
Then I go
about my routine (
make the
bed,
morning stretches, etc.) and it's ready in thirty minutes.
, over the course of my graduate school career I've gotten a bit lax
about some of my self - imposed rules (e.g.
making the
bed every
morning, hanging up my clothes every night, washing all the dirty dishes before going to
bed, etc.).
Then I go
about my
morning skincare routine, put in my contacts and last but not least, I
make the
bed.
For your closest loved ones or significant others, setting a consistent schedule — whether it be in the evenings before you go to
bed or early
mornings before you go
about your day —
makes things much easier for everyone.

about anyone eager to jump out of
bed in the
mornings!
I'm not good
about doing this — in the summer it's so sweltering hot that when opening the window, it
makes the bedroom more humid, plus I'm one of those that likes having their
bed made early in the
morning.
Coffee... always coffee... some days the Keurig 1 cup if I'm leaving in 20 minutes for a 5:45 spin class... and that's
about all I do on those days: let out the pups, throw on my bike shorts and a shirt and hat and start the coffee But other days when I'm leaving for the gym later I let out the pups, crank up the computer, start the coffee (in the pot on these days),
make the
bed and hit the porch light... hummmm, this
makes me think I could do more on these
mornings before I leave the house.
