Brush the top with
Simple Syrup (easy to
make by adding equal parts sugar and water to a saucepan and simmering for
about a minute) and you've really got something special.
Add sugar or honey — the first time I did it I
made a
simple syrup, but it was too sweet — now I do a ratio of
about 1:4 sugar / water.
