What I am specifically NOT talking
about is most anything that appears on a list of investing /
stock market books that are posted on forums, social
media, etc. from time to time.
And the financial
media's no help — the talking heads & market strategists chatter
about the biggest winners of the past year, and opine on the
stocks & trends to focus on in 2016.
If we look at the US, these people were often the same folks who got crucified on company
stock in their 401Ks... Mainstream & general finance
media need to be a lot more aware of home bias, and take responsibility for informing their readership
about it, and its pros & cons.

When I first bought CTC
Media stock I had some reservations
about the company because, although the balance sheet looked good, I knew dark clouds could be on the horizon.
I think it must be because it's the
stock market as opposed to real estate, steel, technology,
media, manufacturing, etc... I've never heard luck as the reason for a business mogul's success, but if you think
about it, billionaires who made their fortune in industry by building or developing businesses outperformed others that were trying to do the same thing.

about making stupid claims
about a «lack of diversity», when most of the
media making said claims is as diverse as a piece of internet
stock art (or perhaps a 1950s sitcom)?
We talk
