Since there have been a lot of discussions and questions
about newborn cloth diapering on this blog and on the Diapershops» Facebook page I thought I might try to give you my real - time, as - I - go experiences to give moms of newborns (or soon to be) an idea of what they might encounter in the first weeks and months.
Now that our sweet girl is approaching her 8 week birthday, I put together a top 5 list of things

I have to admit, I am nervous
about using
cloth on a
newborn, for the reasons you point out — scrawny legs, tiny waist, etc. we plan to get some
newborn cloth diapers, but won't sweat if we decide to use disposable for a short time.

The challenge

newborns pee a lot.

about anybody else but, when my son was
newborn to 4 months old I was to busy feeding, changing, washing him, washing
cloths, washing bottles, ect... I barely had enough time to eat yet alone holding my baby over a toliet everytime I though he might have to go!!

I have been wondering a lot
about the
newborn stage of
cloth diapering because everything looks so big and bulky!

about cloth diapering a
newborn.
I really appreciate this post because we want to have another baby and wondered
about the best way to
cloth diaper a
newborn.
All you ever wanted to know
about my thoughts on
cloth diapering after using them for 4 months from
newborn stage to almost crawler!
Some families find that a combination approach works best: using
cloth diapers for
newborns and disposables for more active toddlers, or using
cloth diapers at home and disposables while out and
about.
I do plan on
cloth diapering immediately, after talking to Valerie (Diaper Junction) today, she has totally reassured me that it will be an easy thing to do at the hospital and
newborn babies diapers will not stink like my 17 month olds:) So I am very excited
about this.
Whether in
cloth or disposables, you need to change your baby's diaper when it is soiled or
about every 2 hours (more often for
newborns, less often for older babies and toddlers).
I'm currently pregnant with my second child, and having used
cloth nappies from
about 5 months with our daughter I have been eagerly looking for
newborn nappies to start earlier with this little one.
