Even though I'm
food conscious when is comes to traveling — planning out where to eat, slightly stressing
about breakfast options (I have a serious oatmeal habit), scoping out the local specialities —
food is not something I usually bring on
planes.
I am terrible
about making
food for the
plane — I always end up getting icky energy bars.
You'll spend 8 hours seated in cargo netting along the fuselage of an LC - 130 turboprop cargo
plane packed with tons of equipment (from frozen
food to compressed helium), struggling to hear yourself think (forget
about hearing the person next to you talk).

plane, don't worry
about water except to give the bird some «wet»
food items that it is used to eating, like sliced up fruits and vegetables.

It's obviously not as nice as Lufthansa or Singapore First Class, but good
food and a nice lie flat bed for the quick overnight is all I need to be enthusiastic
about getting on the
plane.
