psychopaths and more concerned with a writer, scouring reality for inspiration, exploring his own imaginings, and visualizing the film he pens.
Seven
Psychopaths contains frequent self - referential moments (such as a commentary
about how women are treated in Marty's screenplay being representative of how they are presented in the actual movie), some of which are clever and some of which are too obvious.
It feels odd to say this
about a movie as violent and funny as Seven
Psychopaths, but my favorite parts were when it almost made me cry.
To say much more
about what happens in Seven
Psychopaths would rob it of some of its kick.
Luckily for Marty he's
about to get all the inspiration he needs because Billy just happened to nab the dog of a real life
psychopath (Woody Harrelson) and he doesn't play nice.
Since Seven

about screenwriting and grappling with the conventions of genre filmmaking, it can still go places while spinning its wheels.
