about quality need to band together and create a membership organization and take responsibility for their industry's results.
A number of forward looking cities have set aside contentious debates
about charter schools, and have instead chosen to embrace high -
quality charter schools in their reform strategies.

about the
quality and access of the alternative
schools.

We want these 11 dimensions to challenge every
charter school authorizer and every education leader that cares
about the
quality of their
schools.
They must become active players in shaping education for their children, ask tough, thoughtful questions
about what is being taught in classrooms, demand information on the
quality of the teachers working in classrooms, and play stronger roles in shaping the overhauls of traditional district
schools (and in the operations of
charter schools serving their kids).
Clearly, with
charters becoming a more popular option for more and more students, their growth alone will not address concerns
about the
quality of available
school choice options, and they will remain a work in progress over the next 25 years.
