roasted hazelnut butter that is quite tasty, but surprisingly liquid even at fridge temperatures; as ice cream it might not be too firm.

(1) Instead of purchasing a bottle of almond extract, I used
about a cup of chopped
roasted hazelnuts.
Place the
hazelnuts on a
roasting tray and put in the oven at
about 180C (Fan) for 12 — 15 mins, tossing
about half way through to get an even
roast.
Place
hazelnuts on baking sheet and
roast for
about 12 - 15 minutes, until nuts are fragrant.
For the
hazelnuts: In a pan, lightly
roast the
hazelnuts over medium heat for
about 3 - 4 minutes, just until they become fragrant.
It's almost entirely raw, the exception being the
hazelnuts, which are dry
roasted for
about 10 - 15 minutes.
