dress (so comfortable again)(4) a vermillion small V - neck, long bell sleeved, straight cut, long, widens - at - the -(just above ankle) hemline

sewed in the most gorgeous lace for twenty dollars (5) a burgundy lace version of the vermillion lace
dress in (4)-- for the same price (6) a knee length, Romance Was Born silk shift three sizes up so it sits away from the waist — again — its all
about «a'll the better to eat dinner with, my dear», in a huge, wild sunflower graphic print before graphic prints were trendy: it's giant sunflowers against an intense turquoise background (7) a calf length caftan cut
dress that I made from Japanese printed silk my mother had bought and kept for sixty years (it's just a giant square with a hole fro my neck and two for my arms, and has the best drape EVER owing to its being silk)
The
dress was really long and my mom was going to
sew my
dress up, but the
dress is the most elegant
dress i have ever seen and worn and the only thing i was concerned
about, was the colour.
My ramble
about how clever it would be to
sew a New Look 6799
dress for each of the four seasons?
I feel like I always say this when people talk
about frustrating
sewing projects, but I don't see any of the issues that you have with it — just a beautiful summer
dress.
I'm not participating in MMJune but it's really inspiring me to think
about sewing more pieces that work into my wardrobe instead of just heaps of pretty
dresses.
About the
dress now... the fabric pattern is delightfull and you have
sewed another wonderful, summery
dress!
In fact, I just
sewed a
dress without one (a wearable muslin for my
Sew for Victory project) and honestly was a little meh
about it.
This was
about two - thirds of my attempt to re-master a somewhat - oversized 40s
dress I
sewed a couple of years ago but still love, and with one more change I'll be there.
After my work schedule settles down in January, I am going to dig out my
sewing machine and hem
about six inches off the bottom of the

My dare also got me thinking

Because the bodice was now lengthened, the zipper was a bit lower on the
dress than it had been previously, so I
sewed in a hook an eye

For the top of the
dress I took her waist measurement, added
about 3 inches for room and seam allowance and
sewed it up the back.
