about life - saving drugs — that really concerned me.

Richard: Great insight as always, and last time we talked
about the commercial real estate bubble and we thought today we'd do a special focus on the millennial generation and how financial repression through repressed interest rates and quantitative easing has resulted
in asset bubbles that ultimately have affected the millennial generation
in terms of their values, how they look at the economy and
life and the way they're conducting themselves
in the economy: what they're facing
in terms of the housing market and the job
situation.

Appraisal, he tells us, involves discerning (1) the ontological features of the human, especially
in its relation to the divine, (2) what is «enduring, true and real»
about the tradition, (3) what this truth implies for concrete «choices, styles, patterns and obligations» of
life, and (4) the connection between these different levels of truth
in the tradition and concrete
situations that we confront
in our everyday
life.
He says to Tom that what is great

life situation makes one ready for it (

Jeremy thanks for your comments alot of this i never really thought
about before until you provoked me to seek the truth
in the word it is what we all should be doing finding the truth for ourselves God wants to reveal mysterys if we are open to hear.If we have been christians awhile we just take the word of whoevers preaching or whichever clip we see on god tube its knowledge but not revelation.Because the story sounds plausible we tag that on to our belief for example for many years i believed that the rich young rulers problem was money so the way to deal with that problem is to give it away and be a follower of Jesus sounds plausible.Till you realise every believers
situation is different so the message has to be universal. So the reason its not
about money because it excludes those that do nt have it and does nt make room for those that do have it but do nt worship it.The rich young ruler was not a bad person he
lived by a good moral code but he made money his idol he put that before God.The word says we shall not have any idols thats a sin and a wicked one.
In fact there wasnt any room
in his heart for Jesus that is a tragedy. So when we see the message is
about Idolatry we all have areas that we chose not to submit to God thats universal everyone of us whether we are rich or poor.I believe we are unaware that we have these idols what are some of them that was revealed to me our partners our children our work our church our family i can sense some of you are getting fidgetty.

What I have particularly
in mind is that while there is much talk
about taking Jesus as a key to the interpretation of human nature, as it is often phrased, or to the meaning of human
life, or to the point of man's existential
situation, there is a lamentable tendency to stop there and not to go on to talk
about «the world» — by which Miss Emmet meant, I assume, the totality of things including physical nature;
in other words the cosmos
in its basic structure and its chief dynamic energy.
The lamentable polarisation and confusion which has developed as a consequence of these conflicting interpretations of our present
situation is only too familiar to anyone involved
in the
life of the Church and has led all too often into destructive polemic rather than real dialogue
about the best way forward for Catholic Christianity
in the third millennium.
It has become an impossible
situation, because man can no longer think
about the world
in mythological terms and must think existentially
about the meaning of his
life.
We willingly answered questions

As sarcasm and disdain ensued, I suddenly felt overwhelmed and convicted by the irony of the
situation: A bunch of straight Christians were sitting together

Jeremy i am surprised you never countered my argument Up till now the above view has been my understanding however things change when the holy spirit speaks. He amazes me because its always new never old and it reveals why we often misunderstand scripture
in the case of the woman caught
in adultery. We see how she was condemned to die and by the grace of God Jesus came to her rescue that seems familar to all of us then when they were alone he said to her Go and sin no more. This is the point we misunderstand prior to there meeting it was all
about her death when she encountered Jesus something incredible happened he turned a death
situation into
life situation so from our background as sinners we still
in our thinking and understanding dwell
in the darkness our minds are closed to the truth.
In effect what Jesus was saying to her and us is chose
life and do nt look back that is what he meant and that is the walk we need to
live for him. That to me was a revelation it was always there but hidden.Does it change that we need discipline
in the church that we need rules and guidelines for our actions no we still need those things. But does it change how we view non believers and even ourselves definitely its not
about sin but its all
about choosing
life and living. He also revealed some other interesting things on salvation so i might mention those on the once saved always saved discussion.Jeremy just want to say i really appreciate your website because i have not really discussed issues like this and it really is making me press
in to the Lord for answers to some of those really difficult questions.regards brentnz
I saw this because my

Redemption is not just «God's way of tidying up messy places
in history or covering up ugly moments of our

about saving
situations or justifying oppression or abuse.»
When most of the interviewees admit that it is indeed a baby, they are asked to finish the following sentence: «It's okay to kill a baby
in the womb when...» Various responses follow: «That's very hard to say...»; «It should never be done lightly...»; «If the mothercannot provide for the baby...»; «If the mother was raped...» The questioner presses the issue: «When asked
about the Holocaust, you said that you valued human
life, so why is this
situation any different?»
As leaders, we can find ourselves so busy administering the cure for the incurable
situations in other people's
lives that we somehow forget
about the painfully self - destructive
situations in our own.
But not only does my reading of scripture lead me to a different conclusion, where there is uncertainty
about such a
situation, the safer position is to consider the possibility that renouncing Christ will result
in you losing your
life and forfeiting your promise of salvation, and determine before hand that you will never renounce Christ even should people threaten you or your families
life with death or torture.
That's all; the article isn't
about life in prison, or how he came to be there, but
about what he obviously thinks more important, how he came to commit himself to belief
in the Catholic religion
in the first place: but that, too, is relevant to his endurance of his present
situation.
Newbigin is absolutely right that Christianity, or at any rate Christian mission and apologetics, is always involved
in a pluralist tension — the tension between confidence
in God and uncertainty
about living out that truth
in the world, between faith as God's gift and understanding as a form of growing discovery, between knowing who God is and seeking to bring that knowledge into
situations of despair or resistance, not to say anything
about the diversity and conflict of views among self - avowed Christians.
To clarify the process let us imagine a case
in which a preacher is preparing a sermon

Your god didn't author it, there is proof of that... there is further proof that it was written by man (the Bible is comprised of 66 Books written over a period of

in all sorts of
situations.
Many of the letters of Paul, Peter, and John are

The task of visionary reason

And I I try to
live in this place between the two to try to build a

They talk

What does this

about our
life in the church and the spirit of our theology?
