practices that bear on teaching and learning; that we would conduct the principal and teacher surveys in four schools per district representing elementary and secondary schools; and that we would be conducting a second round of surveys in the final year of the study (2008).
Much current research
about instructional
leadership is focused on distributed
leadership125 or on the leader «s content knowledge.126 Meanwhile, questions
about how and when the principal might best engage with a teacher to address specific
practices used by effective teachers have been under - researched.
