You may have heard the excitement brewing in the health community
about If It Fits Your
Macros (IIFYM)

macro goals for the day.
On the other hand, the
macros diet teaches you
about the impact each macronutrient has on your body, and you learn how food makes you feel.
I know you have written

diet adherents think (i.e., those who believe in limiting food intake to lose weight, whether by cutting calories, or intermittent fasting, or cutting out certain
macros).
Armed with what we've quickly learned
about macros and what it takes to lose weight, losing fat on a skinny fat
diet is (to put it simply) a process where we eat less than what's required of our bodies, therefore forcing fat energy to be used up to fuel us throughout our day.
The main short - coming in this manuscript is the lack of information
about the
diets (foods,
macro's, calories, etc.).
The one caveat
about macros is that a high protein
diet can definitely support your fat loss efforts while helping you maintain lean muscle mass during a period of lower calorie intake [2,3,4,5].
