absolve Arsene
Wenger of all the blame for what looks like being a most frustrating Premier League title challenge for Arsenal this season, as the unfancied Leicester seem to be the ones that will make the most of the poor performances of the usual suspects Man City, Chelsea and Man United, but you have to admit that the Frenchman has had some pretty rotten luck with injury problems once again, while Claudio Ranieri has been able to name his strongest 11 players in almost every match.
That's where most of you miss the point, it's not about
absolve our Great Leader AW of responsibility, it's about realizing that the whole malaise at Arsenal goes beyond
Wenger.
He has such a reputation in France that he has missed signing every quality player to come out of the French league in the last five years... prolly mbappe just asked himself what quality young players have emerged in that time at arsenal under
wenger and realized that this wasn't the place to be... so no another failure doesn't
absolve the arrogant ostrich
Wenger is allowing himself to slip into this hole now and I will no longer advocate
absolving him of some of the fault when he has failed to make the changes required despite having limited restraint (i.e. teams unwilling to sell) on making those changes.
I think for this,
Wenger can not be
absolved of blame; he's definitely erred in tactical approach to games, imo he's too protective of the players, he has blind spots, and he's definitely got ta take some share of the blame for the teams perennial crumbling.
