He carries on the business for which his talents qualify him, earning his livelihood, guarding his family and his interests, and
abstaining from sin in matters of food and drink and evil amusements.
This, of course, was asking a great sacrifice, but it was something that was beyond
abstaining from sin.
I know of a few people in my life who love Christ and want to
abstain from sin, but they are struggling with sexual sin or sinful desires.
