of what corrupt judge you find to rule differently.

authority structure is typically described as a series
of «coverings» or «protections» but unfortunately, the effect is often the opposite, as
abused women and children find they have no recourse or power, as every decision in their lives must be made
by a series
of men, many
of whom are more invested in protecting the reputation
of the ministry than the people in it.

When Christians measure church success
by the standards
of American culture — money, power, prestige, numbers — we set ourselves up for scandal, discouragement, and

The story
of continuity also ties to perceptions
