Such a transition has been
made possible by the convergence of several factors: a stream of new science showing an
accelerating pace of climate change and its impacts; the everyday experience of people witnessing the change around them (and seeing it on the evening news); the compelling portrayals of what is happening and why, such as Al Gore's documentary An Inconvenient Truth and the 2007 reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; and the
shifting stances of constituencies as diverse as evangelical Christians (who argue for protecting the climate on grounds of stewardship of God's creation) and military leaders (who argue on grounds of national security).
In combination with the smooth, quick -

This seems like a bad deal on paper, yet we liked this 2.0 T engine's notably quicker, quieter response while
accelerating away from stoplights in metro driving, and the engine
made great use of the 2.0 T's six - speed automatic with its
shift paddles on the steering wheel and a set up of shorter ratios in first through fourth gears for quicker acceleration.
Both engines are harnessed to CVT autos, but the 1.5 gets a newer - generation
shift logic which
makes a concerted effort to feel more like a traditional fixed - step auto than a CVT when

HERE»S WHAT I DO N'T LIKE: Loud wind noise (anytime I exceed 40 - 45 mph),
makes it hard to hear the radio at normal volume; intrusive road noise, which I corrected by swapping out the standard Goodyear tires with Continental tires; lackluster acceleration for a V6 engine, CVT tends to lose momentum when you lift your foot off of the gas pedal — often jerky when
accelerating and decelerating while in motion and when
accelerating from a dead stop; as mentioned by another reviewer, accelerator hesitates before catching when
shifting from reverse to drive; bumps in the road are not well absorbed (the 2016 model may have addressed this issue); no power to windows after you shut off the engine; no auto door locks; poor V6 fuel efficiency averaging around 24 MPGs combined; trunk lid's arms and safety feature
makes it heavy and sometimes hard to lift open; Infotainment system does understand most voice commands; and Harmon Kardon speakers are sometimes crackly.
Using belts and pulleys, the transmission

accelerate though you never feel a

It took off from a dead stop with strong acceleration and was just as happy
accelerated on the highway, even just sitting in 6th gear without

made it a little rocket.
