accepting dogs into our rescue program, preference is given to those facing euthanasia, to those living in shelters or pounds, and to those in untenable living situations.

Please understand that we will also need pictures of your dog, your vet's contact information, and an owner surrender form must be filled out prior to being able to
accept the dog into our rescue.
If surrendering your dog is the only option, we will
accept your dog into our program as long as it's a Golden Retriever and is not aggressive.
We carefully evaluate each dog for behavior issues and do not
accept any dog into our program that shows aggression towards people or other dogs.
NOTE: Before
we accept a dog into our group, the dog may need to be evaluated by one of our trainers.
Prior to
accepting a dog into our rescue, a Brookline volunteer evaluates the dog to make a determination as to whether to the dog has a desirable temperament — one that is suitable for adoption by an individual or family.
In order to determine if we can
accept a dog into our rescue program, we need to have a completed Surrender Application.

RABIES: Before we will
