While the former isn't really that big of an issue,
accessing the notification tray is.
These gestures typically are limited to swiping down to
access the notification tray, a useful feature for those with smaller hands using big phones.
With this update, it means that Google Nexus 6P users will soon be able to swipe on their fingerprint to
access the notification tray.
The OnePlus X software further offers the Google Now - inspired Shelf, rocking the neat custom icon pack support, custom hardware and software navigation keys, file manager, or a quick swipe - down to
access the notification tray.

The
notifications tray is seeing a pretty major overhaul, too, with expanded Gmail
notifications that include a richer preview of unread messages, while also giving you
access to more options without needing to open the relevant app.

The fingerprint sensor can be a bit difficult to
access, but it's still easier in most cases than trying to reach all the way up to the
notification tray at the top of the 6.3 ″ display.
Your

notifications, of course, and can be
accessed from within any app or anywhere else on your device, which is exactly why placing your favorite applications here is so perfect.
When the
notification tray is expanded, you'll get quicker

There are small enhancements, such as the Google Now widget on the top left of the home screen, the revamped app drawer that you can

There are only two themes to choose from: light and dark (the latter of which is shown below), but the quick -
access controls via the
notification tray make up for the lack of themes.
To make this experience a lot less cumbersome, developer Seth Montenegro created an app that gives you quick
access to each of Android's volume levels right from your
notification tray.
Finally, in the bottom right corner, there's something that looks like an old Windows system
tray, which gives you easy
access to your recent
notifications, quick settings and shortcuts for things like volume, search tool and device alerts.
Simply being able to double - tap on the lock screen to wake the handset up is welcome too, but my favourite innovation is the ability to swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to see
notifications and
access the shortcuts
tray.
