A 2014 law allowed some charters in New York City
access to facilities funding but it left out some schools in that city and all charters outside of New York City.
They are ready to advocate on behalf of their schools to make sure their children get equitable funding and
access to facilities funding.
Additionally, all charter schools outside New York City — and 40 % of the charters within New York City — are denied
access to facilities funding.
Thanks to state government intervention under Governor Cuomo,
access to facilities funding for New York City charter schools is now more secure than ever.
