If I have an AMEX platinum business, do additional cardholders have
access to lounges without the primary cardholder present?
Some cards, like the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Platinum Card from American Express include memberships to lounge clubs or services to give

lounges without this card, it'd cost a whopping $ 399 a year.
Without the SPG Business card, you'll either need
to have Platinum SPG status or pay for
access to visit the
lounge.
If you're at an airport

I didn't much care for the bar area (the huge screen wasn't really my kind of thing) but between the very nice staff and the impressive food offerings (all of which are complimentary if you have
lounge access) it's really hard
to fault this

So for me, The Platinum Card ® from American Express / Priority Pass combo regularly delivers valuable
lounge access to me at my local airport
without issue.
A $ 27 entry fee is notably less than the $ 50 you'd typically spend
to get
access to an airport
lounge without a membership.
While worth more than $ 100
to buy the same, I lower the value because a) I can live
without lounge access and b) I get it from other Premium cards.
They could use the credit
to buy
lounge access, or for any of the other fees which have quickly blossomed over the last few years as airlines attempt
to wring every last dollar out of customers
without actually raising airfares.
To be honest,
lounge access is great if you're a frequent traveller, but if you travel casually, you can probably live
without it.
Even if you are not a Gold customer, you can still gain
access to our
lounges if you are travelling on a member airline in international First Class or Business Class» So Clearly there are no
lounges that will accept our day passes, unless you might know of another way
to obtain a pass
without having
to pay $ 100 for an annual
lounge membership.
That said, the card still leaves a lot
to be desired... maybe if they got rid of the transfer partners and allowed
lounge access without paying a fee?
