According to Stott, the project would have
fragmented «the combined contiguous
habitats of the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, the Thung Yai Wildlife Sanctuary, the Kroeng Kavia Non-Hunting Area, and the undisturbed forest
across the border in Burma possibly comprise the finest remaining conservation area in the whole of mainland Asia.»
