Black and white
acrylic paints were used occasionally but charcoal and erasers ruled the two weeks.

acrylic, the mix may thicken and will only
be able to

paint is so much easier for me to buy and work with than latex
paints are, so I
am quite pleased to know I can
use craft
paint to make chalk

Non sanded grout and Plaster with regular latex
paint with no
acrylic or primer in it
is fine to
use and mixes smoothly.
So you
're saying that craft
acrylic paint can
be used on wood furniture as long as you
use Calcium Carbonate?
Sometimes if there
is a primer in the
paint or an
acrylic it will get thick if you
use other ingredients like Plaster of Paris or Non-Sanded grout to make the
paint.

use paints without primers (getting hard to find these days since most brands
are putting them in without labeling) or
acrylic paints.
I
used black
acrylic on mine and
was not as happy with distressing as chalk

If you want it to
be solid
use a second coat, or
acrylic paint even for a thicker layer.

To make any color you want, make your mix
using the white contractor
paint, then add any color
acrylic tube

s) to get your color.

'm using some leftover Behr premium high gloss 100 %

paint in white.

paint (1 cup) plus 2.5 tbs plaster of Paris plus 1.5 tbs water on a brown wooden table that hadn't
