We're not saying there aren't some good face - to - face liars
out there, but when you meet for the first time
in person with no prior conversation, you can immediately ask follow - up questions and see if they're
acting weird or if their
stories aren't adding up.
I am a huge fan of the original Prince of Persia trilogy, and when I heard about this game I was a little worried that they would change to much of what made the original games great, and I was right, the gameplay has been completely destroyed, platforming is awkward do to too may actions being mapped to the same buttons, combat is tedious and unenjoyable, it's EXTREMELY repetitive, having to search around for light seeds just to advance the plot is stupid, and do to the fact that you can't really die the whole game just feels like trial and error, and the new Prince character is completely unlikeable, while they messed up most of the game it's got some good things going for it, the voice
acting is solid, the graphics are beautiful, and the ending does have interested
in seeing where the
story goes from here, but I'm not sure if I want to pick up the next game they come
out with, this was a huge disappointment and isn't worthy to bear the Prince of Persia name.
Lost Scenes — There are three deleted scenes, all of which are

Like its a good movie if you base it on Spaceys an Devitos
acting and the fact it is wel written
in the comedy part wth a few really good laugh
out loud moments and the
story is ok i understand there after a big sale but i do nt understand why a guy whose really religious would ignore his job and talk about religion?
In this third (and final)
outing of the hugely popular Spy Kids series, writer / director / editor / cinematographer / production designer / composer / co-producer Rodriguez concentrates so heavily on the special effects that everything else — dialogue,
acting, character and
story development — comes off like an afterthought.
Here the
acting is wooden (puppet wooden), lines spoken too fast (as if to emphasize their meaninglessness), the child characters generally
acting like adults, adults
acting like children, all running around
in a simple
story, but even more, after awhile, you realize it is about a bunch sets and objects that look like a kid's dreams of military heroism and futile activities carried
out in an oddly precise manner.
It wasn't the greatest
acting, wasn't the greatest movie,
in fact as a movie by itself I am not sure it stands up to many others very well but the overall but the overall message and reality behind the
story is what really stood
out to me.
Coming from a documentary background, Weinstein doesn't put a foot wrong: the entirely non-professional cast
act out their community's rituals and rites
in a way that feels totally real, and allows a
story that plays with some big themes of identity and how much we should let ours be determined by those around us while never hitting you over the head with it.
Directors put comedic spins on heist films and called them capers, allowing us to laugh at the absurdity of a group of fairly inept individuals attempting to pull off such a massive robbery, and some flicks even started leaving
out certain
acts to allow us to fill
in the blanks and create a more compelling, unique
story.
They don't even really make a big deal
out of gayness
in this version, which is odd, but this is a dumbed down and less interesting version of the same
story, which would be fine if it took advantage of having actors who don't even have to
act if they can dance
in a film like this.
mmm... a protagonist who complete dominates a long film to the detriment of context and the other players
in the
story (though the abolitionist, limping senator with the black lover does gets close to stealing the show, and is rather more interesting than the hammily -
acted Lincoln); Day - Lewis
acts like he's focused on getting an Oscar rather than bringing a human being to life - Lincoln as portrayed is a strangely zombie character, an intelligent, articulate zombie, but still a zombie; I greatly appreciate Spielberg's attempt to deal with political process and I appreciate the lack of «action» but somehow the context is missing and after seeing the film I know some more facts but very little about what makes these politicians tick; and the lighting is way too stylised, beautiful but unremittingly unreal, so the film falls between the stools of docufiction and costume drama, with costume drama winning
out; and the second subject of the film - slavery - is almost complete absent (unlike Django Unchained) except as a verbal abstraction
The
story is actually not bad and plays
out well, the voice
acting is really sublime and I am
in love with the music and sounds heard.
Story,
acting and style go
out the window
in favour of this hackneyed, utterly predictable conclusion that simply has no need to exist, except to hammer home a metaphor already beautifully and understatedly handled
in the first two
acts.
«Lady Bird,» written and directed by Gerwig, and starring Saoirse Ronan, is a coming - of - age
story about a high school senior
in Sacramento, California
in 2002/03, who
acts out and searches for her place even as she prepares to take wing.
The
acting excellence is ultimately cancelled
out by the derivative nature of the
story, which is not presented
in a terribly fresh or distinctive manner.
But
in telling the
story of unruly Max, who rough - houses with his dog, starts snowball fights with his big sister's friends that end with him
in tears, and
acts out when his mom's attention is diverted by a date, Jonze created perhaps the single best portrait of the contradictions of being a kid.
As other Time
Out reviews (below) indicate, the
story's not uplifting - mainly because it's a
story of the banking crisis, and so well
acted you're absorbed
in the
story.
The dark tone was set
in part through the use of flashbacks to a 1995 serial killer investigation framed
in the context of interviews with the two primary detectives, with McConaughey's intense Rust Cohle looking and
acting like a burned
out alcoholic as he told his part of the
story.
While I do think, from a
story standpoint, it's a shame that Garrigan wasn't limited to being a mere witness to the events of the Amin era, as he was portrayed more
in the book, instead of a constant catalyst for Amin's rage, considering he is a fictional character, we'll just chalk up his constant missteps as dramatic license taken by the screenwriters
in drawing
out Amin to commit some of the most heinous
acts of torture shown
in film this side of a Mel Gibson directorial effort.

Only late
in the third
act does Cartel Land waver, as it tries to wrap up the loose ends of its complex
stories, but it nevertheless remains engaging, even as some of its subtleties go
out the window, forcing the audience to play catch up with some convoluted but essential details.
