The first game's score was good and this one is even better, featuring some
spectacular action cues that are just a delight to hear.
For Front Mission 3 — his first collaboration with Square — he offered a stock of militaristic
action cues with funky atmospheric themes that inspired Koji Hayama's eventual contributions.
The cue BessI Battle, for example, is terrific, one of the best
action cues of the year, along with «Maleficent Captured», «Battle of the Bewilderbeast» and the whole Godzilla soundtrack.

great action cue that uses a melody that seems to only appear this once, but had me listening to all three Shrek scores to find the theme.

As usual, my inflated opinion of Powell means I'd rate this a whole star higher than you (**** 1/2), but that's just because of how incredibly fun and tuneful and energetic
