In an address at the City University of New York today, Cuomo revealed what he's calling an «aggressive
action plan» to fix Penn Station, as well as mitigate what he claims will be a ripple effect on the city's other
transportation systems — namely, the subway.

transportation spending, MTA Chairman Joseph Lhota assured Senate and Assembly members that an $ 836 million «subway
action plan» launched last summer to fix the city's subway
system is improving service, although he admitted there still is plenty of work still to do.
Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan (R - East Northport) announced the
action while noting that the Metropolitan
Transportation Authority, which runs the LIRR, had agreed to upgrades, including renovated station stops and new parking garages in impacted communities, along with an updated signal
