I don't think it would be hard to convert to use
active dry
yeast — I'd use a full package of
active dry (about 2 1/4 tsp), and mix the
yeast with the milk / melted butter
mixture once it's cool enough.
When the
mixture is lukewarm to warm, but NOT hot, sprinkle in package
Active Dry
Yeast.
