Rural Park District calls
for a second deck at a golf course driving range, handicapped accessibility at two parks, a
community park with an indoor fitness center and more
activities for senior citizens.
A variety of affordable transit options such as public transit, taxis, car shares, cycling, and safe pedestrian pathways is critical
for residents of Erie County to engage in a wide variety of
community activities across urban, suburban, and
rural settings.
Issues in
rural schools can include fewer resources
for students and teachers; lack of access to professional development and student training opportunities;
community isolation; students having the same teachers
for multiple subjects and grade levels; and fewer extracurricular
activities.

activities, founded Adopt - A-Family, an organization that donates Christmas gifts to the needy; and Matthew Schrum of Weichert, REALTORS ®, Yardley, Pa., who has worked as a volunteer firefighter
for 19 years.
