bit of «back of the envelope» math quickly shows that «Noah's Ark» would
actually have to have been an armada of ships bigger than the D Day invasion force, manned by thousands and thousands of people — and this is without including the World's 300,000 current species of plants, none of which could walk merrily in twos onto the Ark, nor the 400,000 species of beetles, nor the gnats that live for a few hours, nor for that matter,
human beings!
Okay, Dad gets a

A brilliant school of interpretation of Greek mythology would have it that in their origin the Greek gods were only half - metaphoric personifications of those great spheres of abstract law and order into which the natural world falls apart — the sky — sphere, the ocean - sphere, the earth - sphere, and the like; just as even now we may speak of the smile of the morning, the kiss of the breeze, or the
bite of the cold, without really meaning that these phenomena of nature
actually wear a
human face.
Modern scientific research shows that salting the eggplant is not
actually removing most of the bitter compounds, but the added salt at least decreases the
human tongue's perception of bitterness, very much like how adding a little
bit of salt to bad coffee improves the taste.
The breast is part of that sexiness and it's important to realize that the idea of the breast being sexy, is
actually not the biological norm for
humans, which to us, from the West, sounds a
bit mad, because we just assume that breasts are inherently sexy and inherently part of our sex lives, but
actually, that's not the reality for a lot of cultures out there.
And while these ants can certainly provide an unpleasant encounter for any unwitting
humans who come across them — their en masse
bites inject their victims with venom that produces a burning sensation and raises blisters that can become infected — they are
actually more of a threat to local wildlife.
It was
actually a teensy
bit of a disappointment each time we cut to a scene featuring only
humans.
It's hard to believe that anyone would give these guys even a little
bit of money to waste on something so insufferable, let alone that people could
actually find it funny, because with the exception of a few smirk - worthy gags thanks to guest stars like John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell, «Billion Dollar Movie» is on par with «The
Human Centipede» as one of the biggest cinematic travesties of the last decade.
The good news (great news, really) is that agents and editors are
human beings, and I have never known one to
actually bite an author in public.
This might not be such a tragedy if the legislation which killed these, and many other dogs,
actually protected
humans from dog
bites.
Are they aware that this
actually teaches the pup it is good to
bite humans when playing?
Notwithstanding relative stability in the number of dog
bites over time (Bradley, 2006), and the fact that according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) only two percent of those seeking emergency room treatment for dog
bites each year are
actually hospitalized (CDC WISQARS), some communities have enacted laws that intensively regulate or even ban certain dog breeds in an effort to decrease dog attacks on
humans (AVMA, 2001).
The headset sports a relatively clean, black look with a few molded lines that break up the flow and a chunky design philosophy when it comes to the earcups, which look a
bit like they're
actually some form of breaching charge intended for blasting through
human skulls.
The environments are
actually fairly well crafted, but it's the character models for the
human characters that could have used a
bit more polish.
But then the writers make a few more terrible jokes, including one scene where Bryce checks out Arcadia's lingerie in her apartment, that start to drag poor Bryce back into the realms of being unlikable, and that leaves me at a
bit of an impasse: I could argue that Bryce is perhaps an interesting study on
human nature, questioning what someone would
actually become after 500 - years of watching friends and family die around them without being able to die themselves, always having to live on the outer fringes of society.
