have made this twice, and the first time accidentally used tomato sauce in place of the tomato paste, and it
actually turned out a little better because the spices didn't
toast as much.
Christmas morning brunch seems to be on the rise... we do that now too... we
actually started it about 3 Christmas» ago because we don't
have anyone over on Christmas morning... it is just our small family... so we sleep in, open gifts then eat... anyway... I already do a hashbrown casserol that I pulled together the recipe for from other places... and it is a perfect addition... you can
have anything else you want; ham, bacon, eggs, bisuits or
toast... all is good together... but, we only do this once or twice a year... really good!
Sometimes I get crazy with my avocado

've done some meal prep for the week and
actually have sauces and other stuff on hand (pesto, roasted chickpeas and sweet potato hummus are my fave toppings).
Approach # 1
would actually be my SECOND choice for cinnamon
toast.
My family
actually had an awesome brunch, in which I served this baked French
toast from Vegan Richa.
I used onion ciabatta bread and it was delicious... I
toasted it in the toaster, as both my ovens were in use,
actually turned out better than
had I done it in the oven.
I
've done plain, cheddar, ground flax (
actually, I always add the ground flax - 3 or 4 heaping teaspoons of it, it doesn't really change the flavor too much), 5 cheese, and tomorrow's is going to be garlic & chive (to be served
toasted with cheddar on top... Mmm!).
After I made the loaf last week, for the next 3 mornings when my alarm went off, I
actually found myself thinking about the breakfast
toast I was going to
have before my feet even touched the floor.
I
've actually never found it in my standard grocery stores here in Canada, but I
've made it (or at least a tasty approximation) by soaking 5 or 6 dried ancho or guajillo chilies in hot water (I get mine from a Latin American grocery store in Toronto, but I bet you could use dried cayennes in a pinch, which seem to be more common), draining them, and blending them with
toasted cumin seed, coriander, garlic, sundried tomatoes, and sometimes a tablespoon or so of chipotles in adobo sauce.
I made this last night and I
actually had it for breakfast this morning on
toast because I really can't get enough of it.
This bread is great fresh out of the oven, but I
actually think it is even better
toasted — it just
has a great texture for
toasting!
I
actually haven't tried it on just some

've gone through quite a few jars since discovering it as it's become Nick's favourite

All you need to do is

've been fasting for so long, and spikes.
